This single day, 10 hour course is designed to prepare law enforcement supervisors and command staff tasked with supervising and managing canine units. This course will provide the supervisor with the education necessary to make personnel, training and deployment decisions. More than quoting case law, this course will give insight into the duties of canine unit management and supervision. The course is instructed by a combination of canine unit supervisors and civil litigation attorneys, with years of involvement in the supervision of and the defense of canine units.

This course is designed to expose the modern police dog team to training and communication concepts enabling them to successfully integrate with members of a SWAT/Tactical team. This course will expose the participant to the proper training; tactics and protocols needed to safely and successfully resolve high risk tactical operations. This course is applicable to the K-9 team, tactical operators and command staff alike. This course will prepare the participant for direct operational involvement in pre deployment planning strategies and actual mission involvement requiring the deployment of tactical arrest teams, containment teams, entry team assignments, barricaded vehicle operations, hostage rescue operations and high risk area search missions.
